She has been playing piano all her life with 20 years of formal study.

Mrs. Dean started Studio One in 1977. She said when asked about her decision, " I saw a need for quality music instruction in Pickaway County. I had just received my Master of Arts in Class Piano Pedagogy at OSU and was eager to apply that knowledge. I purchased a 6-piece Wurlitzer piano lab and taught piano only in groups for two years. For various reasons, I phased out group instruction in favor of private. I feel it serves the needs of each individual student better. I'm very grateful to Pickaway County for supporting Studio One for over thirty years!

Mrs. Dean says, "I just read a 'New York Times' article entitled 'Is Music the Key to Success?'  I'd like to share it with you.  Just hold "control" and click on this link:> or copy and paste it in your browser window.  The article is fascinating  ... about how studying music can lead you to success in all kinds of life endeavors."
